
The Cleveland Guardians are excited to host the 2023 MRDA Western Hemisphere Cup, a postseason roller derby tournament event from 9:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday, October 21 & Sunday, October 22 at the Cleveland Heights Community Center. The top ten roller derby teams from across eight states and two countries will be coming to Cleveland to compete for the cup. This will be the highest level of competitive roller derby on the globe!
Established in 2013, the Cleveland Guardians are a 501(c)3 sports organization founded here in Cleveland, Ohio. Flat track roller derby has evolved from the days of scripted roller derby, it is a full-contact sport with real bouts (games), real hits, complete with rules and penalties.
The Cleveland Guardians are a member of the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA) and compete against teams across the country and the world. Their team mission is to provide the opportunity for all people to participate in the challenging, competitive and exciting sport of flat track roller derby. To foster teamwork, leadership and philanthropy, as well as provide a safe, active and thriving community for all.
Tickets are available online or at the door. Cleveland Heights residents will get a free Day Pass with ID at the ticket booth. The weekend will have concessions, merchandise, and fun for all! Come out and see what roller derby is all about. See you on the track!
